In 1998, while assigned to NYS Supreme Court in lower Manhattan, inmates awaiting trial often asked for prayer and a Bible. I was invited by the warden of a jail (RNDC) to share with the teenagers how to comport themselves when standing before the judge. The success of that initiative led to an invitation to other facilities such as NIC, GMDC, GRVC, OBCC, and MDC. I enlisted the assistance of Pastor Teresa Buonfigilio of Pillars of Faith, Pastor Michael Beck of House of Prayer, Rev. Juanita Fleming of Times Square Church, Rev. Sandra Villegas, Rev. Jerry Morales, Rev. Anthony Frascone, Rev. Varkey Varghese, Rev. Joseph Beauchamp, Rev. Juan Picart of Evangel Church, Pastor Brad Crook editor and publisher of Christian Life Times and Pastor Pearl Corbin radio host for Reaching Out Radio International and a leader for The Life Team New York. 

In 2006, the president of (WWRV) Radio Vision Cristiana, Milton Donato gave me, a retired NYC Correction Captain, his air time to preach to the inmates in Riker's Island with a scare straight, a message of straight talk. “Take the crime and failure stories out of the Bible and give them hope; that there is a better life after prison.
